Client

The Arkaig Community Forest is a community organisation working in partnership with the Woodland Trust Scotland helping to restore and revitalise the stunningly beautiful Caledonian pinewood forest.

The Background

Build14me were approached by a member of the Arkaig Team who had previously worked with them on a local project based in the South of England.

The Requirement

It was important that the site engage with and increase awareness of the work being carried out by the team at the Arkaig Community Forest as well as provide details of how the local community can get involved and benefit from the courses, projects and information provided.

    We have set up Google analytics (GA4) and search console to ensure that client has an ongoing understanding of how the website is being used.

Our Recommendations

The wordpress site uses the Astra theme, a popular, flexible and free wordpress theme. Additional plugins include:

  • Beaver Builder drag and drop page builder,

  • WP forms,

  • Dear PDF, a PDF flipbook viewer  

  • Seedpod, provided a ‘coming soon’ page whilst the site was being built

  • Smash Balloon Facebook feed

The Outcome

The site is already attracting audiences interested in the development of this historic woodland and ancient Caledonian Pinewood Forest.
